The Hexagram most people will associate with Judaism, as The Star of David. However, this symbol has also been used in many religions and occult traditions and orders.
One common use in occult traditions is to symbolise the coming together of the elements of fire (masculine, the triangle point up) and water (feminine, the triangle point down).
Fire represents action, drive and creativity.
Water represents emotions, intuition and love.
